Drop Forging of Blanks for Hand Tools.

The original drop forging of blanks for hand tools is briefly reviewed, which is followed by a report on recent technical developments in this field and by a description of the current status of manufacture. This includes mechanized and partly automated drop froging of blanks with the aid of a double-action hammer and automated forging in a drop forging press.
