摘要：
This paper discusses hydrostatically loaded unstiffened and stiffened cylinders such as are used in offshore structures. In view of the fact that comparisons between experimental and theoretical results are dispersed over a wide range of literature, a comprehensive review is presented to bring them together under one heading with some useful graphs to facilitate the calculation of the critical pressures.
