摘要
The authors give results of an investigation into the influence of rolling texture and heat treatment on variation of magnetostriction. The preferred orientations which arise in cold-rolled Fe-Co-2V specimens of Permendur 50KF causes rise of magnetostriction either with rolling direction or at an angle to it, depending on heat treatment. Heat treatment of cast isotropic Fe-Co specimens which brings about atomic ordering also raises magnetorestriction by a factor of two or more.
