摘要
We study the influence of hydrogen absorption on the wear resistance of internal combustion engine (ICE) cylinder-piston group parts. Hydrogenization of the ICE parts takes place in the process of their fabrication and operation. Reduction of the diffusion-active hydrogen in the piston rings and increase of the bound hydrogen concentration is detected during friction. It is shown that the wear resistance can be significantly influenced by redistribution of the hydrogen in the surface layers of the rubbing bodies.
