摘要
The use of active suspension systems to improve the ride quality/handling trade-off inherent to automobiles is finding renewed interest, as demonstrated by the prototype recently built by Lotus cars Ltd. of Great Britain. The majority of recent studies has relied on a one-dimensional, two-mass model to analyze various control schemes; such a model cannot predict how the control scheme affects the distribution of tire/road contact forces among the four corners of the vehicle; yet, that distribution is essential in determining the attitude of the vehicle during any maneuver. To circumvent these shortcomings, a full vehicle model is considered in this paper, the active suspension elements are used to provide full suspension interconnection, thus allowing arbitrary control over all vehicle modes.
