The principles of manufacturing large furniture components from ABS by blow molding were established by Bayer AG in cooperation with Kautex-Werke. The report presents economic comparisons and technical features of this method. It is to give designers and furniture manufacturers assistance in selecting the right method of producing plastics components as well as advance information about material behavior and design characteristics with regard to the manufacture of furniture components from ABS by blow molding.
