摘要：
The boundaries and major characteristics of the natural hydrological seasons in 1957-1985 are determined from mean monthly sea surface temperatures of the Gulf Stream energy active zone. The variability of the duration of seasons and the accuracy of the estimates are analyzed. The warm, cold, and moderate years are identified for the period considered.
