Calibration of a line structured-light 3-D visual sensor by using the vanishing point method

摘要
A 3-D coordinate measuring visual sensor based on the line structured-light was proposed, and a vanishing point method was proposed to calibrate the structural parameter according to the mathematical model of the visual sensor and to the actual condition in which the sensor is used. This calibration method is easy and fast to carry out, it simplifies the calibration process without causing any reduction in its accuracy. The experimental results show that the vanishing point method is an efficient and practical way in calibrating the visual sensors.
