The fluidized bed drying process, one of the most complex coal preparation technologies, raises a series of problems regarding the establishment of the most convenient automatic control system, due to its dynamic development and the nature of the phenomena to be controlled. The author presents the results of research done in order to determine the basic principles of the automatic process control system.
