Weyerhaeuser has called the tune for the third quarter with its price rise announcement of $710/ton for northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) in Europe and North America. The rise is effective for whole of the third quarter. The price in Japan will be $720/ton for the quarter and the same in Korea, China, Indonesia and Taiwan until further notice. For Europe, this represents a $30/ton increase on Weyerhaeuser's second quarter price.
