Mechanical behavior and weldability of a high chromium ferritic stainless steel as a function of purity

摘要
This paper discusses the effects of C, N, Ti and several residuals on the recrystallization, tensile behavior, toughness, weldability and corrosion resistance of several Fe- 26Cr- 1Mo and Fe- 26Cr- 1Mo- Ti alloys. Weldability is evaluated on the basis of weld toughness, ductility, and resistance to intergranual corrosion. The effects of purity and composition on mechanical behavior are evaluated in the light of pronounced effects of gage, microstructure and hot working practice.
