摘要
Heat generation and wear during machining operations are caused by friction between the tool and the chip. Based on tests results, it is shown that when turning with a self-driving, rotating cutting tip, lubricant can be introduced between the chip and the tool face which reuslts in lower chip compression and tool wear.
