摘要
This article reviews manufacturing techniques of motors in 0-600 volt class. In the past decade there have been new and improved insulating materials which have resulted in thinner wall thickness. The electrical steel used today has better magnetic properties and the interlaminar insulation offers higher service temperature. Bearings and lubricants run longer with less maintenance. Structural plastics for fans and air deflectors are lighter in weight and do not rust or corrode. All of these items have contributed to smaller and lighter weight, per horsepower, motors.
