QUALITY OF SERVICE AND OPERATIONAL QUALITY IN THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK.

Availability and operational quality in the telecommunications network are important features in Televerket's marketing. It is important that the system should provide excellent service quality. A special program of work has been set up by the Network Department at Televerket's (The Swedish Telecommunication Administration) Headquarters in order to ensure good quality of service and operational quality. The program is an active one, in that besides dealing with urgent problems or shortcomings, it also looks to the long-term effects. This article describes in general terms both the background to the work program and the main feature of the work.
