Relying on hydrogeochemical indices singled out by the authors, oil and gas potential of a number of structures is evaluated favorably. They are situated both on land (the Anastasiyevskaya-Krasnodar anticlinal zone, the northern zone of the tapering off of the Maykopian sands) and offshore (the Obruchev, Elektrorazvedochnaya, and Morskaya structures, etc. ). Two zones of hydrocarbon accumulations are singled out: the northern, mostly gas-bearing one, and the southern, mostly oil-bearing one.
