摘要
In the Research Institute of the Deutsche Bundespost an experimental system was designed for the transmission of signals for narrowband and broadband services and implemented as system model for demonstration purposes. The main objective of system conception was to outline the possibilities offered by the broadband, future-oriented transmission medium 'monomode fiber'. Multiplexing was conceived in such a way that the simple version of the experimental system can be limited only to switched broadband and narrowband services. In the extended version to be used for transmission of distribution services, a very broadband, synchronous multiplex channel in the user-terminal direction is added on a modular basis via another optical frequency.
