摘要
A change in single chip microcomputer strategy is presented which allows a user to build a microcomputer system and potentially integrate the result. The innovative idea of a ″CORE CPU″ surrounded by ″building blocks modules″ is presented for the first time. The problems and directions of such a concept are discussed in detail together with actual module pin outs and emulation techniques. The family is based around a micro coded 9900 generic family implemented in CMOS. Trade-offs and compromises of a 16 bit core as opposed to a 4 or 8 bit core are discussed.
