JAPAN'S MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES, LTD. PRODUCES ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC GOVERNORS FOR LARGE-CAPACITY STEAM TRUBINES TO MEET THE NEEDS FOR ELECTRONIZATION OF CONTROL SYSTEMS AND THE REQUIREMENTS OF HIGH-PRESSURE HYDRAULIC FLUID APPLICATIONS. BY APPLYING MICROPROCESSORS TO PLANT CONTROL SYSTEMS, THE COMPANY HAS SUCCEEDED IN DEVELOPING A HIGH RELIABILITY, HIGH PERFORMANCE DIGITAL ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC GOVERNOR. THIS PAPER PRESENTS AN OUTLINE OF THE DIGITAL ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC GOVERNOR AND THE DETAILS OF ITS FUNCTIONAL AND VARIOUS ABNORMALITY TESTS.
