摘要
One of the promising ways of improving the strength of tubular connections at cyclic loading of structures without changing the element sections is on ultrasonic penning treatment (UPT) of the welded joint zone in the connections. The fatigue test results, which testify to the significant improvement of the fatigue strength of the tubular connections with UPT, were compared with similar connections without the treatment of welded joints, at different kinds of cyclic loading and depending upon the peculiarities of the cyclic fatigue.
