Selection criteria for clamps used on mobile equipment differ from those for static machinery. Unless certain precautions are exercised in the design of mobile equipment fluid power tube installations and clamping, the clamps may fail and the tubes may wear until they leak. Tube clamps for a mobile system must carry both the fluid system dynamic loads and the independently applied structural loads.
