Cost-effective separation of silt and clay size material

The Hydro-clean is a new system developed by the Haver & Boecker engineering works for the cost-effective removal of silt and clay size material from mineral mixtures having a maximum particle size of 70 mm by exposing mixtures to high-pressure sprays of water. The use of high-pressure jets permits substantial water and energy savings in comparison with conventional facilities, while at the same time minimising wear. Depending on the material and the desired efficiency of separation, throughputs of between 50 and 80 t/h are possible.
