摘要
Steels of Fermanal type are materials which are intermediate between conventional steels and heat-resisting alloys. Technological tests have established the possibility of manufacturing metallurgical products from Fermanal type steels, and a series of experimental heats made it possible to develop methods of casting and plastic working of these steels. The advantage of these steels is their relatively low specific gravity coupled with very good mechanical properties. Depending on the proportions of the alloying elements, these steels can have ferritic, austenitic-ferritic, or austenitic structure. The alloying elements which have the greatest effect on the structure and mechanical properties of Fermanal type steels are carbon and aluminum.
