A study of the regional geomagnetic variation field in north-central Arizona indicates the presence of a concentration of geoelectrical current on the eastern margin of the Mesa Butte fault system. A lack of obviously conductive geologic structures at the surface suggests that this telluric current concentration is caused by crustal geoelectrical structures. Refs.
