Computer simulation of digital data transmission systems with cyclical correcting codes is described, including codes for correcting errors in a compound channel, under the action of flows or errors typical of SW and wire channels. Systems of two types were investigated as models for error sources in the channel: (1) a random number source, in which the ones (errors) and zeros (undistorted symbols) are distributed according to the given probability model of the channel, and (2) magnetic or punched tape with a recording of a sequence of errors and undistorted symbols, obtained from tests of actual channels.
