NON-CONTACT TYPE DIMENSION MEASUREMENT INSTRUMENT ″PANA OPT SCALE″ .

A new optoelectronic measurement system, ″PANA OPT SCALE″ , has been developed which measures dimensions without contact. This instrument consists of a line sensor camera and an optical scale. It performs the measurement of dimensions, the detection of flaws and defects on object surfaces and the recognition of object existence with an analog signal counting bright and/or dark bit numbers from the line sensor (photodiode array) on which an ordinary photo image is projected. Various functions, such as limit setting, comparison and calculation, are conducted by a built-in mu -CPU. This instrument is designed for use in moving-object measurement and vibration analysis made possible because of its capability of dimensional resolution from mm to mu m by using a selection of camera lenses and its fast scanning speed of 0. 2 mu sec/bit.
