A study was made of the dependence of the degree of halogenation on temperature, the process time and the nature of the halogenizing agent. The process of preparation of the pigment bases by the acid pasting method in an elbow mixer in a sulfuric acid medium was investigated. A study was made of the coloring ability, tone purity, hue and brightness of polyhalogenated phthalocyanine pigments, and coloristic estimates are made on the basis of the Kubelka-Munk function.
