Effects of interphase properties on stress transfer in composite materials

摘要
Using finite element method, the stress transfer in a matrix-cracked fiber-reinforced composite was studied. The interface between fiber and matrix was measured and simulated by a spring-like layer. The effects of interphase properties on the stress transfer were analysed for different ratios of elastic moduli, volume fractions of fibers and for various boundary conditions. The stress distribution near the interphase were investigated under several typical modes of damage.
