Beginning with the codeposition of the abrasive resistant nickel-diamond composite coating, the authors discuss the amount of diamond particles suspending in electroplating bath; the effects of temperature during electroplating and cathodic current density on the amount of diamond codepositing in the composite coating. As shown by the results. In case the codeposition parameters are properly chosen, the abrasice resistant composite coating with diamond particles evenly diffused can be prepared; the mechanism of nickel-diamond codeposition conforms to Guglielmi two-step adsorption model; and its velocity control step is a strong adsorption step.
