The model emulsion-extraction membranes. A study of the mass-transfer process

摘要
The techniques for obtaining and measuring the phisicochemical parameters of the model emulsion - extraction membranes were applied to studying the mass transfer through a membrane. The possibilities of the method were illustrated by the recovery of Fe(III) from acid chloride media by the use of liquid membranes consisting of tetraoctylammonium bromide and strobitanmono-oleate in benzene. It has been shown that the transfer velocity is directly proportional to the membrane surface area, but does not depend on the membrane thickness in the range of 200 to 500 nm,, and can be described by a simple equation.
