Modeling of catalyst pellets for fixed-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis

Based on a detailed kinetics model, a model of catalyst pellets for complex Fischer-Tropsch synthesis was developed, and a novel correlation developed by using the SRK equation of state was applied to account for the gas-liquid equilibrium relationship between the gas bulk and the wax solvent in the catalyst pores. Then, the main reaction performances of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis in the wax-filled pores were discussed by using the proposed model. Furthermore, the match relationship between the diffusion and the reaction in catalyst pellets at different temperatures and pressures was also investigated.
