Conceptional design of a flexible neutron reflectometer at `SINQ'

摘要
A new neutron reflectometer will be installed on a cold neutron guide at the quasi-continuous SINQ spallation neutron source. The reflectometer works in the white beam time-of-flight mode with a vertical scattering geometry. A two-axis reflectometer using a multilayer monochromator can be used as an alternative. The neutron reflectometer at SINQ/PSI can be set up to a low or high resolution instrument that uses either unpolarized or polarized neutrons and accesses a wide q-range.
