摘要
A polarization technique has been used to measure the characteristic partial oxygen pressure of electronic conduction of MgO partially stabilized zirconia. Two different methods have been used to relieve the RI (I is polarizing current, R is the resistance of solid electrolyte) drop. The square wave polarization method gives precise data. A new method has also been developed to calculate the phase proportions. With this method the proportions of monoclinic, tetragonal and cubic phases could be easily determined. MgO-PSZ as an electrolyte has been widely applied in the measurement of oxygen activities in steelmaking processes.
