A comparison of geometrical and dimensional accuracy of conventionally and hydromechanically deep-drawn CuZn components clearly demonstrates the advantages of the lather process which enables geometrical characteristics such as wall thickness, cylindricity, and roundness to be improved. If appropriate modifications to production parameters can alter the stress condition in the deformation zone so that the optimum manufacturing accuracy is achieved, the economic utilization of hydromechanical deep drawing can be further improved.
