摘要
This paper describes new optical transmission equipment used for new of the F-400 M system version. By applying LSI technology and a new bay structure suited to digital communication systems, the equipment has been made more compact, and consumes less power than existing equipment. A long repeater spacing (maximum 120 km) has been realized using a newly developed 1. 55 mu m DFB-LD transmitter and highly sensitive receiver. The new transmission equipment has been tested in the field, where it operated stably.
