DETERMINATION OF THE CORE END HEATING OF TURBOGENERATORS IN UNDER-EXCITED OPERATION.

The reactive absorbing of large turbogenerators is limited by the possibilities of maintaining stability and by the heating conditions of the stator core end. The authors have made an attempt to determine the theoretical-physical bases of the core end heating. At the same time, they present a new method for determining - on the basis of measurements - the heating of the individual points of the core ends under any load conditions.
