Gripper designs for conducting tests of thick-sheet specimens for low-cycle fatigue and crack resistance within a wide range of low temperatures are described. In addition, cryostat designs to enable long-time tests to be performed in liquid nitrogen medium are discussed. Reliability of the procedures described is substantiated by results of the tests.
