摘要
This article is addressed to managers of small and medium size firms. It describes a quick method of economic evaluation of the energy savings and of the profitability of investments in this area. Samples of these calculations are given. The weak areas from the energy use point of view, which are most common in the small and medium size industries are listed as well as the most convenient corrective actions. Also organization changes can have a favorable impact for a more efficient use of energy. Legislative measures aiming at encouraging energy savings in the industrial field are also mentioned.
