A correction procedure for exit gas composition, based on the work of A. L. Downing described a theoretically sound, uncomplicated method for obtaining clear-water overall oxygen transfer coefficient in the non-steady-state aeration equipment test. The method also accounts for submergence and interfacial area distribution.
