摘要：
The capabilities of infrared imaging systems for the diagnostics of bearing-industry products are estimated theoretically. Defects which degrade the working characteristics of bearings, such as a residue of an abrasive (in the form of projections), geometric defects, and transverse scratches, are considered. The analysis shows that these defects can be detected by infrared imaging devices with characteristics at the present level.
