DETERMINING BASELINES FOR OFFSHORE BOUNDARIES.

This paper describes the technical problems involved with boundary location and presents a new program of the National Ocean Survey (NOS) for high-accuracy marine boundary determinations along the United States coastline based on computed tidal datums. Boundary data requirements for the Federal government, state governments, local jurisdictions, and private sector will be discussed.
