COLORING PLASTICS RED AND VIOLET.

This paper reviews materials that are used for making plastics red or violet. They include organic pigments such as acid monoazo red, perylenes, quinacridones, anthraquinones, thioindigo, disazo condensation, and naphthol-AS types; iron oxide pigments; cadmium and mercury cadmium pigments; and solvent dyes. The report is presented in five installments with five different authors, they include (1) classical organic red pigments; (2) high performance organic red and violet pigments; (3) red iron oxides; and (4) cadmium and mercadmium pigments; solvent reds and violets.
