Experimental studies are reported which were carried out to determine the effects of pre-extrusion treatments by heat, shear and solvents, polymer variables such as molecular weight and plasticizer content, as well as of extrusion conditions, such as temperature and die entry angle, on rheological parameters processing and extrusion quality. Results presented in tables, curves and electron micrographs are discussed in terms of practical recommendations.
