Business forecasting task can now be handled by forecasting software, instead of the traditional human experts. This option brings proven business benefits, but a debate remains over what levels of accuracy can be obtained. The mass details about current markets, historical data and production issues are balanced with an overview and are delivered just in time rather than just in case. Better administration of production and supply chain data are also benefits. Casual factors are included in forecasting systems, which go further than adjusting for seasonal changes. Forecasting software is becoming increasingly reactive to rapid change, so the impact of an event are estimated quickly.
