The TL 442, an integrated-circuit double balanced mixer, is described, with reference to its performance and applications. The accessibility of every important node of the circuit and a wide frequency range make the circuit applicable in mixer-stages, frequency doublers, gain controlled amplifiers, AM-modulators, choppers, modulators for single side band, etc.
