CURRENT SILVER RECOVERY PRACTICES IN THE PHOTOGRAPHIC PROCESSING INDUSTRY.

In addition to discussing the need for silver recovery, the current technological status of various recovery techniques, including electrolytic, metallic replacement, sulfide precipitation, borohydride treatment, and several miscellaneous techniques are covered. The reuse of fixing baths after electrolytic silver recovery as well as the recovery of silver from bleach-fixers, reversal black-and-white bleaches, washoff processes, and from the photographic products themselves are discussed.
