摘要
Comparative flammability tests in which flame-resistant polystyrene was packed in carbons made of noncombustible cardboard and in conventional corrugated carboard opened up completely new aspects for assessing the fire risks and fire behavior of stockpiled goods. Within the scope of its innovation activity, a firm has developed paper, carton, and cardboard which can be classified as noncombustible building material grade A 1 according to the applicable German standard. The material is completely free of asbestos and can withstand temperatures of up to 1000 degree C without any changes.
