FLUORINATED COMPOUNDS OF MEDICINAL INTEREST.

A review is presented of some applications of fluorinated compounds in medicinal chemistry. These applications include: treatment of neoplastic diseases, inahlation anesthetics, steroids, central nervous system agents, antipsychotics, antianxiety agents, sedatives, hypnotics, muscle relaxants, and appetite depressants. Current research on other applications is briefly outlined.
