DEVELOPMENT OF NEW VERTICAL ROLL FORMING PROCESS FOR ELECTRIC RESISTANCE WELDED PIPE.

This report deals with the basic concept, features and development history of a new constrained-edge type ERW pipe forming process using non-driven vertical rolls. The results of practical application of this process, and particularly the basic characteristics of deformation behavior and forming load charcteristics, have revealed that the optimum forming practice for this process is a combination of the neutral line constant type pass line and the uniform forming distribution pattern.
