摘要
Heat conduction in the secondary cooling zone of a continuously cast ingot, which is characterized by direct spraying of ingot surface by pressurized cooling water, was analyzed. The analysis has shown that the decisive factor for solving the problem of heat abduction is the heat transfer coefficient, the determination of which in cooling water spraying is very difficult. Based on the results of an experimental research involving a hot model, analytical relationships were defined for the heat transfer computation which make it possible to define the surface conditions for a theoretical solution of the temperature field in continuously cast ingots subjected to cooling in the secondary cooling zone.
