摘要
In this report the tests of the specimens with minimum amounts of impurities are performed from the viewpoints of cutting resistance, tool wear, roughness of finished surface, etc. As a result, it is evident that the addition of Si and Cu decreases the cutting resistance, and if the tool life is considered it will be better to decrease the Cu content in the specimens with a relatively large amount of Si. On the contrary, in the case of a small content of Si it will be better to increase the Cu content.
